Community Health Outreach Program

St. Catherine takes great pride in its community. We understand the importance and value of emphasizing good health, fitness, safety and the promotion of early detection of illness or disease.

Our goal is to help those who reside and work within our community live healthier lives. Speakers are members of St. Catherine’s professional and medical staff and are available to speak to your group (free of charge) on a variety of health and wellness topics. Lectures are normally 30 minutes followed by a question and answer period. If there is a topic of interest that is not listed, please let us know and we will try and accommodate your request.

We regularly participate in health and wellness events for not-for-profits, schools and businesses. Health screenings can be included during your event. Please submit requests for speakers or event participation at least one month in advance. St. Catherine of Siena is also a member of the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Association and have partnered to create the Long Island Health Collaborative (LIHC). LIHC is a working group of hospital members, local health department personnel, representatives from social service organizations, public health specialists from colleges, and others who form the core health and human services for all Long Islanders. The colloborative is a partnership aimed at providing Long Islanders with useful rescources to achieve better health and overall wellness.
