The Emergency Department at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center is well known for its treatment of pediatric and adult emergencies. Serving the community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center Emergency Department provides expert care for more than 30,000 patient visits annually. We are a Gold+ award winning Stroke Center, and a designated Chest Pain Center with two cardiac catheterization labs for both emergent and elective procedures.
Located on the first floor of the hospital, the department maintains an outstanding team of emergency physicians, nurses and assistants backed by some of the field's most sophisticated resuscitative and monitoring equipment. With over 30 treatment beds and a dedicated prompt care section, the Emergency Department is designed for maximum efficiency.
Although designed for the rapid care of patients with minor problems, this Emergency Department truly excels in the resuscitation of critically ill patients. Using the latest in Emergency Medicine techniques, the Emergency Department is prepared to immediately care for the most unstable of patients. In addition the Emergency Department has direct access to all the resources of St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center to assist in the stabilization and admission of these patients.
Both the physician and nursing staff are supported by a dedicated array of ancillary emergency and radiology technicians, respiratory therapists, and secretarial staff. They live in the community, know the community, and are dedicated to caring for their friends, neighbors, and fellow community members.
