Free Smoking Cessation Program Starts April 6th

 

St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, together with Suffolk County Department of Health will offer a free smoking cessation program beginning April 6, 2017.

 

The free Learn to be Smoke Free program will run for six weeks, with evening meetings starting at 6:00 PM, ending at 7:00 PM, on April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4 and 11. There will be a reunion meeting on June 1. The program is open to the public. Registrants are accepted on a first case basis. Seats are limited, therefore early registration is suggested. The smoking cessation program was coordinated by St. Catherine of Siena’s Community Outreach Program. The Community Outreach Program is dedicated to emphasizing good health, fitness, safety and the promotion of early detection of illness or disease. The goal is to help those who reside and work within the community live healthier lives. Speakers are members of St. Catherine of Siena’s professional and medical staff, and are available to speak to groups (free of charge) on a variety of health and wellness topics. Lectures are normally 30 minutes followed by a question and answer period.
