St. Catherine of Siena's 17th Annual Gala
St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center will host its 17th Annual Gala on Friday, October 13, 2017, at Oheka Castle in Huntington. The gala is the hospital’s most prominent fundraiser, and this year St. Catherine of Siena will be honoring Suffolk County Police Commissioner Tim Sini, for his commitment to ethics, community integrity and faith.
Gala proceeds will support the build of a new dedicated entrance and access road to the hospital’s Emergency Department for first responders. “We want to provide critical care teams enhanced opportunity to treat patients sooner and minimize the devastating effects of an overdose, heart attack or stroke,” said St. Catherine’s Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Paul J. Rowland.
St. Catherine of Siena is a New York Designated Stroke Center and has received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval and accreditation for disease-specific care for Stroke since 2012. Additionally, the hospital is recognized as a 2017 Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus & Target Stroke Elite Honor Roll Award by The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
