St. Catherine's Rated Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report 2020
St. Catherine of Siena Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center has once again been named Best Nursing Home 2020 by U.S. News & World Report. Additionally, the Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center made the inaugural list of Newsweek’s first ranking of Best Nursing Homes across 20 states.
This is the second year in a row that St. Catherine’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center achieved Best Nursing Home status by U.S. News & World Report. Ratings are established using data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes. More than 15,000 homes nationwide, in every state and nearly 100 major metropolitan areas, were evaluated by U.S. News.
Newsweek analyzed more than 15,000 nursing homes across the country with the premier news magazine recognizing award winners in 20 states, with St. Catherine’s ranking as number 14 in New York State. The rankings are designed to assist patients and their families in making informed decisions about where to receive their long-term care and post-acute care.
“Our primary goal is and has always been to provide the highest quality of care to our patients and improve their quality of life, said John Chowske, Administrator, St. Catherine of Siena Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. “Acknowledgement on a national level, regarding the skill and quality of care our patients and residents receive, is a wonderful affirmation of our dedication and compassion.
