at St. Catherine Donates Time and Money to Save Lives

Lycksell, RN, who earned the national Bayer Expect Wonders Award
is celebrating her survival and encouraging awareness in others
Friday, February 2, 10 am-noon, in St. Catherine’s lobby.
Dressed in red, she and her colleagues will demonstrate how
AEDs save lives.
Ten years ago, the then 47-year-old, suffered a cardiac arrest.
A police officer, with the aid of an Automated External Defibrillator
(AED) saved her life. Since then, Ms. Lycksell has raised
money and awareness to save others. She has purchased numerous
AEDs and donated them to non-profit organizations. Her recent
award earned her $10,000, which she will use to purchase five
defribillators.
On Friday, February 2, 10:00am-noon: Ms.
Lycksell and her colleagues will dress in red to support her
ongoing efforts to raise even more money in the fight against
heart disease. Ms. Lycksell will also demonstrate how AED’s
save lives.
