2018 Gold Coast Gala
"Transformation is a journey without a final destination."
The Foundation at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, will host its Annual Gala at Oheka Castle in Huntington on Friday, October 12, 2018—this year with a “Gold Coast” theme. The theme is most fitting at the historic Long Island landmark, known for its ambiance. The beautifully restored castle has the daily palpability to transport guests to another time—the grander of the “Golf Coast”—and certainly an evening to remember.
As a not-for-profit hospital, St. Catherine of Siena relies on the support of its Foundation fundraising events, like the gala, to help achieve the hospital’s goals. “It has been a transformative year at St. Catherine of Siena—we are working hard to ensure that our compassionate mission, coupled with the objective to continue investing in technology and skilled clinicians are our top priorities—to deliver quality care,” said St. Catherine’s Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer James O’Connor.
In addition to the fundraising goals, the gala will be an opportunity to honor dedicated supporters of the hospital. This year, St. Catherine of Siena will honor Philip A. Mantia, MD, with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his many years of service to the hospital, a trusted physician who has provided quality care in the community for decades. The hospital will also recognize Smithtown resident and volunteer Georgia Priebe, for her extraordinary hours of service, recently recorded at 24,582 volunteer hours.
St. Catherine’s “Gold Coast Gala” will be held at Oheka Castle in Huntington, starting with champagne and photographs at 5:00 PM, followed by a cocktail hour and dinner celebration. Sponsorships and tickets are available for purchase by calling The Foundation Office at St. Catherine of Siena at (631) 862-3780.
