Motivating Employees to Practice at their Peak Performance with Improved Team Work
“Think back to when you first decided you wanted to work in health care—you knew at that time you wanted to make a difference,” said Kiki Kubik Orski, MBA, RN, of Peak Performance Group, to a room of engaged St. Catherine of Siena Hospital employees at a team building seminar. Many of the staff agreed and took the time to learn how to continue that desire in a changing health care environment.
The team building seminar was just one of the week long events scheduled at the hospital in recognition of National Hospital Week, celebrated from May 11th-17th, during May. The Peak Performance Group is a business management and health care organization, founded by registered nurses, Eileen Campbell and Kiki Kubik Orski, and offers decades of combined experience in nursing and business administration, as well as the ability to develop innovative solutions that enhance service excellence, patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
The dynamic duo encouraged employees to remember that no matter how evolving the patient care environment may be “you (the health care professional) are always at the corner of change in health care,” and offered the following tips for providing quality patient care through team work: Vision: Imagining an improved future state that the group will make a reality through its work; Alignment: Getting to the point where everyone in the group understands and is committed to the direction; Execution: Ensuring that the conditions are present for the imagined future to be turned into a reality.
