Regional Nursing Leaders Meet to Discuss Industry and Education
St. Catherine’s Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer Gara Edelsteinwas panelist at the “Regional Healthcare Forum Connecting Industry and Education: Trends in Nursing”, held at Molloy College Suffolk Center in Farmingdale on Friday, January 23, 2015 . The event was the fourth forum in a series of regional conversations connecting industry and education presented by Long Island Regional Council on Higher Education (LIRACHE) and Long Island Stem Hub.
Nursing leadership from across the Long Island region focused on the following topics: Strengthen alignment between healthcare, college and high school preparation; Share trends, needs, and challenges; Create a pipeline of skilled healthcare professionals; Develop strategies and solutions to meet current challenges; Create awareness of all opportunities within the industry sector.
