RSVP Thanks Volunteers
St. Catherine of Siena attended the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Suffolk’s 2014 Tribute Day Expo and Luncheon on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook.
RSVP is a not-for-profit organization that has been serving Suffolk County since 1972. The organization’s mission is to provide diverse volunteer opportunities for people 55 and older. RSVP supports Older Americans who wish to remain active and make a difference in their communities. RSVP has partnered with 150 other not-for-profit organizations throughout the county who need volunteers, including St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center.
The 2014 Tribute Day and Expo Luncheon offers RSVP the opportunity to recognize volunteers who have givne 50 hours or more of service at a partner organization. Through the many partnerships maintained by RSVP with other not-for-profit organizations, more than 123,000 hours of community service was rendered in 2013 alone.
