St. Catherine Honored for Relay-ing for Life
Representatives from the Northeast Region of the American Cancer Society, Inc. (ACS) presented St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center with an honorary plague of appreciation for their supportive efforts in the 2017 Relay for Life events.
Each year, across the country, ACS’s Relay for Life brings communities together to honor individuals who have fought bravely against cancer. Survivors, their families and all those who have been affected by the disease come together to walk, run and camp out around a track to create a united network of support and dedication. This year, St. Catherine of Siena’s Community Outreach Program participated in three events in Smithtown, Kings Park and Commack, raising $3,000. Funds raised at the events will support programs and services for patients and their families in the respective communities. To learn more about future Relay for Life events, visit relayforlife.org.
