St. Catherine of Siena Hosts Free Parkinson’s Disease Seminar Lecture
St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center hosted a Parkinson’s disease Seminar on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. In collaboration with the American Parkinson Disease Association’s (APDA) Suffolk County Information and Referral Center, St. Catherine offered the free lecture to more than 50 attendees. The informative event educated attendees on current medical management, new treatment strategies, deep brain stimulation, research and new clinical trials, sleep disorders, and other pertinent topics. Dr. Richard Peal moderated the event and spoke to the importance of having a supportive community. The medical center offers free Parkinson’s support groups throughout the year.
